Session Structure

Initial Assessment
(15 minutes)

  • Skill Evaluation: Coaches conduct a thorough assessment of the athlete’s current skill level, including serving, passing, setting, attacking, and defensive abilities.
  • Goal Setting: Athletes discuss their personal objectives, whether improving specific techniques, gaining confidence, or preparing for upcoming competitions.

Warm-Up
(10 minutes)

  • Dynamic stretching focused on mobility and injury prevention.
  • Sport-specific drills to activate relevant muscle groups (e.g., shoulder rotations, ankle stability exercises).

Technical Skills Development
(30 minutes)

 Serving Techniques:

  • Focus on various serve types (float, jump serve).
  • Drills for consistent contact point and body posture.

Passing Drills:

  • Emphasis on footwork, platform angle, and body position.
  • Exercises using targets to improve accuracy and consistency.

Setting Mechanics:

  • Breakdown of hand positioning, footwork, and timing.

Attacking Techniques:

  • Approach and jump mechanics for effective spiking.
  • Timing drills for hitting against blockers and transitioning from back row to front row.

Defensive Skills:
